America Recycle Day Campaign

America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.

For this challenge, your school will hold an

event to celebrate America Recycles Day!

There are many different kinds of activities

your event can feature and it is up to you

and your school to decide what to do. You

determine the scope of the event. 

Create a username on the

AmericaRecyclesDay.org website and

check out all of the different event ideas

and activities that you can do. Be sure to

register your event on the website to receive points for this challenge!

  5. Participate in this fun day

Some examples of ARD School Campaign Ideas

  • Encourage students and teachers to recycle more by providing an interactive opportunity to learn what can and can't be recycled in your school (a relay race game).

  • Host a school wide "I Recycle!" pledge campaign. Students, teachers, and administrators pledge to recycle for the rest of the school year. Renew pledges every year!

  • Participate in the KAB's Recycle bowl: www.kab.org/recycle-bowl/why-recycle-bowl

  • Invite guest speakers from various environmental agencies out for an Environmental Career Day.
