The week of June 17 is Waste and Recycling Workers Week. During this week of celebration we join together to thank the women and men who work daily to keep our neighborhoods and streets safe and clean.
The challenge
Have students write thank you cards and letters to your school's Building Services staff, Horry County Solid Waste Authority employees, and the trash and recycling workers and drivers who serve your school.
Getting them delivered
Have students deliver their notes to your school's staff in person, and capture photos if you can. For notes going to the Solid Waste Authority, HCS Interoffice Mail works well.
